Mr. Colley died Jan. 10 in a Chandler nursing home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1915, in Ben Wheeler to the late James Jonathan and Rosie Adrian Colley. He grew up in the Ben Wheeler area and moved to Henderson County in 1940. He was a farmer, worked in road construction and was an inspector for Velvin & Weeks Engineers of Athens.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Vivian Brantley Colley, Brownsboro; sons, James Colley, Ben Wheeler, Bobby Colley, Sulphur Springs, and Larry Colley, Bishop; daughters, Shirley Colley Gibbs, Monahans, Marilyn Sue Smith, Murchison, Arleeta Easley Inman, Chandler, Molly Campbell, Timpson, Glenda Bearden and Marsha Stephens, both of Brownsboro; 29 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family received friends 6 - 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
