James Doyle Evans was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Dallas. After high school and marrying Charlotte, Doyle began an adventurous business career with many stops along the way. Starting as a carpenter to support his young family, Doyle finally landed in the automotive business, his lifelong calling, at Tire Fair in the early 1970s. From there Doyle spent nearly 40 years in the automotive collision business, finishing his career as the collision center manager at Lynn Smith Chevrolet in Burleson. His interests over the years included boating, fishing, golfing, riding his Harley and the Dallas Cowboys, but to Doyle there was nothing more important in this world than spending time with his family. Doyle was known for his kind and gentle nature and enriched the lives of all that knew him and he will be dearly missed.
