Helen Elliott Acord passed away in a local rest home January 23, 1992.

Born October 14, 1902 in Washington County, Pennsylvania, to Spencer Elwood and Hester Sprowls Elliott. Married Lewis Earl Acord in Helper, Utah Dec. 28, 1951; he preceded her in death. She was a beloved and well repsected educator-- a teacher of elementary grade children for many years. An active member of First Presbyterian Church, "Grandma Helen", as her loving family came to know her, is survived by step sons and daughter, Keith and Dale Acord and LaVoyle Reese, nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; eight nieces and two nephews. Although she bore no children of her own, she was truly the best and most loved of grandmothers. She was loved by all of her family for her attentiveness and kindness. She was valiant and courageous and always a Lady of Dignity. We shall miss her deeply.


Memorial services will be held Monday, Jan. 27, at 12:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 12 North and C Street. Interment Price City Cemetery, Tuesday, 12:30 p.m. Funeral directors, Evans & Early Mortuary
