Clara Bond was born in Webster City, Iowa on May 30, 1893. She attended Highland Park College in Des Moines. She was a free lance court reporter in Mandan ND under John Pollack and later the District judge appointed her to be juvenile commissioner in Fargo N.D. She held this job for 7 years until health forced her to retire. She was married to Sydney Mason in 1918, and they had two children, Robert and Jean (Mrs. Bill Guy). In 1926 the family moved to Fargo, N.D. where she became juvenile court commissioner, from which she retired in 1951. She died in Bismarck, N.D. on September 30, 1966.
