A funeral for Fernsworth Howard Brooks, 63, of Spotsylvania will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service on the Bypass with the Rev. Ernest Cornwell and E. T. Bourne officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Linwood A. Thacker, Percy C. Bishop, W. Jasper Brooks, Joseph L. Simms, Richard Martin,Harry J. Deale,David Mastin, Edward J. Yushko, Douglas M. Chambers, Steven S. Wilkins.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. American Legion Post No. 320 will conduct a memorial service at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Brooks died Thursday, Nov. 16, at Mary Washington Hospital. A native of Spotsylvania County, he was employed as an inspector with Delco Moraine. Before that he was a supervisor at the FMC plant, where he worked for 25 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Mine Road Baptist Church, American Legion Post No. 320 and the FMC Foremen's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gloria Wheeler Brooks; a son, Gary H. Brooks of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Mrs. Debra B. Luck of Spotsylvania; two brothers, Freddie A. Brooks of Spotsylvania and F. Delano Brooks of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Mrs. Falmer B. Carr and Mrs. Fenton E. Brooks, both of Spotsylvania; and five grandchildren.
