LYNDHURST-The Rev. Mark Wellington Wolfe, 76, of Route 1, Box 363A, Lyndhurst, a dear loving devoted husband, went to be with his Lord on Sunday evening (August 13, 1995) at Augusta Medical Center at 6:30 p.m.
He was born Oct. 22, 1918 in Pine Grove, Pa., a son of Robert and Molly Sattaghan Wolfe.
An ordained minister for 46 years, he was a full-time pastor for 40 years, served on the Viellian District Board for more than 30 years in Roanoke, and was on the standing committee of National Conference, one of the highest honors of his church.
In addition to holding pastorships in Virginia, Tennessee and West Virginia, he also conducted over 100 revival and acted as moderator of churches in Virginia and West Virginia.
In addition to his wife, Ruth Hatter Wolfe, he is survived by five brothers, Robert Wolfe, Samual Wolfe, Joseph Wolfe, Daniel Wolfe and David Wolfe; and four sisters, Eva Wambaugh, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Brown, Mrs. Amos (Martha) Kutz, Mrs. Charles (Molly) Daubert, all of Pine Grove, Pa.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Wolfe, Paul Wolfe and Adam Wolfe.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the Mountain View Mennonite Church by the Rev. Arnold Naff, Rev. Richard Showalter, with burial following in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. Dennis Hatter, the Rev. William Hatter, Jerry Demastus, Gary Demastus, Cleveland Campbell, Daniel Hatter, Dean Hatter and Mark Hatter.
Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 Tuesday in the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds-Etter Funeral Service.
