Cape Girardeau, Mo.--Mrs. Elizabeth Ives, 80, Cape Girardeau, formerly of Topeka, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1987, at a Cape Girardeau hospital. She was born April 27, 1907, at Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Edwin and Cora Allen Sheldon. She attended Stephens College at Columbia, Mo., and was graduated from the University of Kansas at Lawrence with a degree in hospital dietetics. Mrs. Ives was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of American Colonists, Colonial Dames of America, and Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, all at Cape Girardeau. She was married to Harry Ives Sept. 21, 1930, at Ottawa, Kan. He died in April 1976. Services will be at 7 pm Saturday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Burial will be at 10am Monday in Highland Cemetery at Ottawa. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Elizabeth Sheldon Ives was also a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Mr. & Mrs. Ives formerly lived in Silver Lake, Kansas.
