Naval Air Crewman 1st Class Samuel "Grant" Kerslake of Hot Springs, Arkansas is the son of Joann Kerslake and was a 1986 graduate of Lake Hamilton High School. He had recently completed 20 years of military service. Grant was one of five crewmembers aboard the HH-60 Seahawk helicopter that plunged into the Pacific Ocean near San Diego. The crew was part of the HS-6 anti-submarine squadron, based in San Diego and operating from the USS Nimitz. He and his wife, Christie, have two sons, Samuel and Justin. He was 41.
