Darrell served in the Navy from 1960 to 1963. He worked at Philco-Ford for 4 years from 1964 to 1968, was a bartender at the Black Cat and several other local establishments in Connersville. He also worked in cable care and electronics.
He is survived by his life long companion, Georgetta Higbie; two daughters and sons in law, Tonya & Eric Johnson of Connersville and Lisa & Gary Cornett of Martinsville; three sons and two daughters in law, Bradley Harrison and Darren & Lori Harrison all of Connersville and Myron & Angie Higbie of Williamsburg; a brother and sister in law, Billy & Linda Harrison of Centerville; several grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Russell Smith of Everton.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore ‘Teddy' Harrison and Benny Harrison; and a sister, Yvonne Rowland.
