Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 24, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of West Point with Dr. Tom Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Becky Williams (David) Guinn of Lanett; her son, George H. (Brigitte) Williams Jr. of West Point; four grandchildren, Thomas Earl Williams, Heidi Williams Stansell, Amy Katherine McDow and Amanda Dora Ramseur; her sister, Jane Ramage Sligh of Hueytown, Alabama; and her brother, John G. Ramage of Athens, Tennessee.
Mrs. Williams was born October 5, 1916, in Chambers County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Hattie Cook Ramage and Belton Ramage. She was a graduate of Five Points High School and was a homemaker and very active in her church. She was a member of Charter Garden Club and West Point Women's Club. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hubert Williams Sr., and her granddaughter, Annette Michelle Guinn. Mrs. Williams was a member of First Baptist Church of West Point.
