Daughter of Michael McDermott.

She married Richard Pigott [forger of the Parnell Letters] on 17 February 1874, at Booterstown, Co. Dublin.

They had at least 9 children.

The family home was at 17, Vesey Place, Kingstown, [now known as Dun Laoghaire], where most of the children were born.
Christopher was born at 20 Corrig Avenue, Kingstown.

Following his cross-examination by a House of Commons committee in London, Richard Pigott fled to Madrid, where he took his life on 1 March 1889.

The names of four of their children, Joseph, Elizabeth, Edward and Christopher are noted on this headstone.
They are buried elsewhere within the cemetery

Death
Teresa Pigott, aged 36, married, wife of a Gentleman, died on 18 August 1886, at 16 Mellifont Avenue, Kingstown [now Dun Laoghaire].
The cause of death was Phthisis Pulmonalis, Exhaustion, 8 months, certified.
Her death was registered on 14 September 1886, by Anne Byrne, present at death, of 16 Mellifont Avenue
