Funeral services were held Sunday for John Henry Buford, Sr., 84, who died October 3, 1941, at the home of his son, Whit Buford, here Friday after a short illness. He was born January 20, 1957, in Arkansas City, Arkansas the son of Finis Marion and Jane G. (Hill) Buford.
Services were held in the Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Green Funeral Home.
Mr. Buford is survived by his wife, Alsia Elizabeth (Seymour) Buford; three sons, John and Whit, of Wagoner; William Blake Buford of Hulbert, and four daughters, Mrs. Sam Rice and Mrs. Edna McDaniel, Hulbert, Mrs. Ida Rotramel of Arkansas and Mrs. Alafair Smith of Prague.
