Dr. Archibald Faulkner was born in 1770 in England, came to South Carolina at age 14. He was the son of Nathan and Sarah Faulkner.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
I, Archibald Faulkner, do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made. First, I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon as possible, out of any moneys that I may be possessed of or may first come unto the hands of my executor. Secondly, I give and bequeath to my wife Rebecca, all my lands, goods and chattels during her natural life and after her death to be equally divided between my seven children namely, Asa, Miriam, Sarah, Adeline, William, Lewis L., and Archibald. Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my son, Asa, my executor. In witness whereof I do this my last will set my hand and seal this 24th day of Jan 1842.
