Lt. Young was graduated from Worcester Trade School before he enlisted in the Army in October, 1942. He attended the Army radio school at Scott Field, IL, a gunnery school in Pheonix, AZ, Idaho State College and the Air Corps Cadet School at Santa Anna, CA. He served six months in Korea and early this month was commissioned a second lieutenant.
He was married only six days before his death to Lee Fahey of Seattle, WA. His father, Richard, is a veteran of World War I. Besides his parents and wife he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Rita Chapin, Miss Leona E and Miss Shirley T Young, all of East Brookfield. He is buried with his parents, in te same cemetery as his Young grandparents and great grandparents.
