Death claimed Earl J. Mills of 678 Shelby Ave. Wednesday night at the Con-way Rest Home, Madison where he had been confined with illness.
Mr. Mills was 71. He was born March 18, 1884 in Munson. He spent most of his early life in Montville and Chardon. He came to Painesville to reside in 1913. He had engaged in the trucking business since that time.
On Feb. 25, 1919 he married Miss Katherine Werner of Chardon. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Montville. He attended the Church of Christ in Painesville.
A son preceded him in death in 1927. A brother Kenneth died in 1948.
Surviving are his wife and a brother George of Chardon.
Rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Holderman, pastor of the Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home March 12.
Pallbearers were William Lepard, L.J. Elliott, Harold Mills, George Mills and Frank Pierce.
