He is survived by his wife, Thelma Mae (Franthom) Pearson; a daughter, Joy Higgins of Piqua; two sons, Paul A. Pearson Jr. of Piqua and Leonard Pearson of Covington; a sister, Lucille Zimmerman of Pleasant Hill; three brothers, Lawrence Pearson of Troy, Robert Loy of Arcanum and Richard Peters of Vandalia; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Furnas and Goldie (Peters) Pearson (stepmother); a brother and a sister.
Born in Miami County, Mr. Pearson was a member of the Livingstone Memorial Church, Troy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War H. He retired as a heavy equipment operator at the ARMCO Steel Co.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with Pastors Linda Spicer and Paul Pearson co-officiating. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery.
Friends may' call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday; at the funeral home.
