John was a proud US Navy Veteran of WWII, The Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, serving over 21 years. Upon retirement from the military, he was employed for 16 years at US Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia as a naval air engineer, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Turnersville VFW #4189. John enjoyed working with wood, making renovations around his home and loved to read.

John is the beloved husband of 55 years to Helen M. (nee Herbert), devoted father of John, Jr. & his wife Lauren, Wayne & his wife Maryann and Barry & his wife Mary, dear brother of Margery Mullins and Mickey Greene, loving grandfather of James, Jenna and Jessica and master of his beloved Boxer, Ginger.

Viewing Wed. 6:30-9 PM and Thurs. 9 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Washington Twp, (Sewell), where his funeral services will be held Thurs. at 10 AM.

Interment with military honors at Gloucester County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ
