Capt. Willis Turner Allman
Son of John Alford Allman and Myrtle B. Turner Allman.
Beloved husband of Geraldine Alice Robbins Allman.
Captain Allman and his wife, Geraldine, are the parents of two sons, Howard Duane Allman and Gregory L. Allman.
Capt. Allman, United States Army, had fought in the latter part of World Ward II and had landed on the beaches at Normandy on D-Day. He had been a gunnery sergeant and a lieutenant, and had just gotten promoted to captain. He was getting the pay, but he had not gotten the bars yet, or at the time of his passing.
Lt. Allman was killed in a robbery by 26-year-old Michael Robert "Buddy" Green (1923-?) , a plumber's helper and WWII Army veteran, whom he'd befriended earlier in the day, along with another officer in Allman's company.
