Dr. F. Lewis Bartlett had a private practice in Philadelphia and was on the staff of Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute and of Haverford State Hospital in Haverford, Pa. He practiced in Philadelphia for 35 years. He attended Columbia University and the University of Uppsalla, Sweden. He was a volunteer ambulance driver in Finland during the Russo-Finnish war in 1940 and during World War II he served in the Merchant Marines. In 1951, he graduated from the University of Vermont School of Medicine and later served an internship at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. He was involved in a Philadelphia program to aid street people in the city. He also was a partner in the Keener Oil Co. in Tulsa.
