Upon his return to Odessa, he worked for W.A. Lewis Plumbing Company before starting his own firm in 1952—AABCO—operating in Odessa until 1964, when Bob moved his company to Arlington; to Eastland in 1970.
Bob retired in 2000, closing his business at the age of 78.
Bob's first wife, Mary Ruth Taylor Williams, gave him one son: Rickey L. Williams (Arlington TX).
Bob married for a second time on March 4, 1972, to Mary Ellen Harper.
Bob's third wife of five years, Linda Carroll Gabriel Williams, gave him excellent care at the end of his life (along with several step children).
