In Memory of Mrs Elizabeth Eddy
The amiable wife of Samuel Eddy, Esq and
daughter of Capt. Daniel Bucklin and his wife Elizabeth
She was born Septemner 20th AD 1768
and after having exhibited an example of filial duty,
conjugal affection, and maternal virtue she
fell prematurely the victim of consumption on the 27th of October AD 1799
in the 32nd year of her age.
How love show valu'd one avails thee not,
with whom connected or by whom begot.
The vital flume that warm'd the gentle breath,
has gain'd the mansions of eternal rest.
