Mildred was born of John Carl Werner and Margaret Elsie Knebusch in Detroit Michigan, the first of eight children.
She married Walter Maeder from West Newton, Pennsylvania in 1938 and together they had two children: Patricia and Ronald.
From the late 1940's through 1955 she worked as a press operator at L.A. Young's Spring & Wire in Detroit,and it was there that she met her second husband, Robert Harris.
She married Robert Harris in 1951 and gave birth to Debra Harris in 1953.
In 1959 she with her husband, son and youngest daughter moved to Greenville, South Carolina where she remained until the death of her husband in 1988 after which she moved to Brethern, Michigan where she remained hear her oldest daughter until her death.
She leaves behind her 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 23Great-Grandchildren
