Obit - "Gladys M. Launt of Port Jervis, a retired licensed practical nurse for Doctor's Sunnyside Hospital in Port Jervis and a lifetime resident of the area, died Monday, March 13, at Mercy Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was 78.
The daughter of the late Agnes (Hill) and Edward R. Ernst, she was born Aug. 17, 1916, in Port Jervis. She was the widow of Willard M. Launt.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Port Jervis, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, River Valley Chapter 33.
Survivors include three sons, James Launt, John Launt, and Robert Launt, all of Port Jervis; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Wednesday at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis.
Services will be held at 10:30am Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Montoza Cemetery, Eldred.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one's choice."
