Adele H. Banker, 87, of Harbor Beach, Michigan died Oct. 24, 1999.
She was born on Sept. 12, 1912 in Harbor Beach, the daughter of the late Anthony and Flora (Mausolf) Schroeder. She lived her entire life in Harbor Beach.
She married Frank Banker on Jan. 11, 1933. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1976.
Mrs. Banker was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. She was a Red Cross volunteer in her adult years. Her life's love was music. She loved to play the piano and was in the Barney Schubring Band in the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's. She played the piano while her husband played the drums. They were well-known around Huron and Sanilac Counties for their music. She would also entertain the residents of the long-term care unit at Harbor Beach Community Hospital with her music.
She was survived by her sons, Douglas Banker and his wife, Rose, of Sandusky, MI, Larry Banker and his wife, Alberta, of Harbor Beach and Wayne Banker and his wife, Pat, of Riverside, CA; three daughters, Marlene Janderwski of Winter Haven, FL, Janet Phelps and her husband, Herbert, of Howell, MI, and Kathleen Banker of Harbor Beach; three sisters, Ruth Schott of Harbor Beach, Violet O'Neil of Harbor Beach and Doris Bader and her husband, William, of Norwalk, OH; one sister-in-law, Betty Schroeder of Harbor Beach; 26 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Jerome, Leland and Robert Schroeder; one sister, Beatrice Plaut and one great-grandson.
