Bertie Edward "Uncle Bert" Seim was the son of Conrad Seim and Mary Ann Deyo Seim, he was one of 10 children. Bert had never been married. Uncle Bert had worked for the Union Pacific railroad for a number of years. Bert passed away October 24, 1954 at the McAtee Nursing Home in Iola, KS at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 8 days.
