MUNCIE - Betty J. Chambers, age 81, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Westminster Village following an extended illness.
She was born September 30, 1926 in Delaware County. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church were she was very active. She retired from Borg-Warner as a Stenographer after many years of service.
She is survived by 2 brothers, T. Dale (wife Rosemary) Rees and Harry (wife Peggy) Rees; 3 sisters, Ruth Joan (husband Bob) Reese, Barbara Cook, and Phyllis Ann Cullen; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene V. Chambers; and her parents, Otto and Esther (West) Rees.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Charlotte Overmyer officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
