Music producer and co-founder of Factory Records with Tony Wilson. Martin (also known as Martin Zero) helped develop Joy Division's signature sound as well as producing for Happy Mondays, Buzzcocks, Magazine, Stone Roses and New Order.
He died of heart failure at the age of 42. Martin is buried in Manchester's Southern Cemetery not far from Tony Wilson's grave.
