Mrs. Martha Margaret (Maggie) Nichols, 89, 1041 S. Hackley, died today at Golden Rule Nursing Home, Gaston, after a long illness. She was born in Danville, Ill., and had lived in Muncie 31 years. She was the widow of Bert Nichols. Surviving are three sons, Robert Clark, Muncie, Herbert Poole, Highland and William Poole, East Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Sheets, Crawfordsville; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a step daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Lima) Stiver, Muncie and two sisters, Miss Ona Miller, Elizabeth N.J. and Mrs. Otie Williamson, Milford, Ill., Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Piepho and Fry Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, callers will be recieved at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and from 7to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
