Services for Jessie Lee Kyle, 93, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Kyle died Aug. 23, 2003, in Richardson, Texas.
On Nov. 19, 1909, she was the seventh of nine children born to the Lone Grove pioneer family of John Washington and Harriett Ballew Gauntt.
She attended Southeastern State Teachers College in Durant for two years before marrying Everett M. Kyle in October 1930 in Ardmore. They were longtime residents of Oklahoma City before moving to Ouachita, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974; a son, Everett Dale; and her parents. She moved to The Gardens in Richardson, Texas, five years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Nelda Burrow, Richardson; a brother, Royce Gaunt, Sulphur; four grandsons, Dr. David Kent Burrow, Tyler, Texas, Thomas Bradley Burrows and Glenn Alan Burrows, both of Dallas, and Robert Kyle Burrow, Juneau, Alaska; two great-grandsons, Graham Stuart Burrow, Tyler, Texas, and Brandon Shawn Burrow, McKinney, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
