Roscoe G. Acord, 83, of Siloam Springs died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Siloam Springs.
He was a former resident of Johnson County, son of the late William G. and Olevia Russell Acord, a member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Davis Acord.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Jimmy James of Siloam Springs; two sisters, Thula Stamps of Brawley, Calif., and Bille Vanover of Merced, Calif.; six grandchildren, Donnie James of Springdale, Tammy Reed of Lincoln, Seree Goedecke of Kansas, Okla., Tina Lynch of Colcord, Okla., Tim James of Siloam Springs, and Joy Winningham of Watts, Okla.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the Yale Church with Rev. Paul Hill and Wiley Davis officiating.
Burial was in Yale Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were G. W. Stewart, Billy Ray Acord, H. D. Benson, Terry Litterell, Wayne Johnson, and Glen Acord.
Honorary pallbearers were Ben Dawdy, Jason Dawdy, Larry Dawdy, T. L. Hill, Mark Lynch, Randy Goedecke, Phil Reed, Warren Winningham, and Jerry Birkhahn.
