RUTHERFORD—Vera Spence, 88, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Union City. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Karnes & Son Funeral Home with burial in Rutherford Cemetery.

Mrs. Spence, the widow of A.M. Spence, leaves a daughter, June Smith of Kenton; a son, Jack Spence of Rutherford, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
