STONEVILLE - John "Marvin" Pruitt, 80, of 2525 Highway 135, died Friday, February 16, 2007, at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 18, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery .
Mr. Pruitt was born September 24, 1926, in Rockingham County to the late John and Martha Annie Fuqua Pruitt. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.
Surviving are his wife, Eloise Pyrtle Pruitt of the home; step-daughter, Elizabeth Frazier of Stoneville; step-son, Timothy Travis of Stoneville; step-grandchildren, Jesse Travis of Medina, Tenn., Katie Travis of Eden, Seth Travis of Stoneville; three step-great-grandchildren, Levi Travis of Medina, Tenn., Javen Chandler of Eden, Jordan Chandler of Eden; special niece, Cathy Merritt of Eden.
