Jessie G. Foster was born October 18, 1922 at Hitchita, Oklahoma to Hall and Odie (Howerton) Self. She passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at her home near Council Hill. She married J.D. Keifer on August 9, 1941. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1955. She was a beautician and had a beauty shop at her home for several years. She married Bob Foster on April 25, 1958. She loved the farm and enjoyed everything about it until her health failed. She was a member of the Boynton Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Eugene Self and J.F. Self. She is survived by her husband, Bob Foster, of the home, two sons, Donnie Foster and wife Tracy of Council Hill and Jerry Keifer of Ft. Gibson, a daughter, Rheta Gossett and husband Allen of Greenwood, Arkansas, two sisters, Josie Farrice and Joyce Baldridge, both of Okmulgee, two brothers, E.E. Self of Buna, Texas and Junior Self of Warsaw, Indiana, seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.Funeral services for Mrs. Foster will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Wainwright Assembly of God Church with Reverend Cecil Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow in the Council Hill Cemetery. Casketbearers will be George Morgan, Sam Taylor, Tommy Allen, Greg Tardiff, John Guthrie and Kenneth Flanary. Harold Conrad, Larry Naumann and Tim Wedding will serve as honorary casketbearers.
