Beloved furbaby of Rob and Susan Chase. Bandit Bernard was born on May 1, 1998. He was the runt out of a litter of four. His mom was part long-haired border Collie and miniature Shepherd. His dad was part St. Bernard and Lab. He became a part of our family at ten weeks old. Our children were six, seven, and ten years old at the time. Bandit was our first and only family pet. His name was chosen because of the dark markings on his face that resembled a mask, and his uncanny ability to take things he wasn't supposed to! His nickname was Bernard, because he resembled a St. Bernard in his lack of gracefulness and his big droopy ears. Wherever we were, you were sure to find Bandit nearby! Some of his favorite pastimes were sleeping by the fireplace or in the foyer, and being underfoot if we were cooking or eating in the kitchen! He loved to chase softballs, frisbees, and hockey pucks, too. Going for walks, getting his fur brushed, and a ride in the car were also big highlights for him! Bandit especially loved to eat everything and anything, especially people food. Oftentimes, we would catch him with his head stuck into the garbage can eating anything he could reach! He even knew how to flip the garbage lid open in order to get into it! When he was full grown at a svelte 104 lbs., he still insisted he was a lap dog and loved sitting in his mom's lap! No matter what kind of day you had, he would brighten it up even more as soon as you walked through the door and he would see you! The past ten years have been a blessing with him around. Bandit will be deeply missed, and will ALWAYS be a part of our family. We love you Bernard!
