Marcia Denney Davis, 84, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away on December 1, 2022. She was born on April 22, 1938, to Bonnie Jensen Denney and Earl S. Denney in Granger, Utah. She attended Cyprus High School and graduated in 1956. She married her high school sweetheart and best friend. Russell G. Davis, February 1, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple, and she was an active member of the LDS Church.
They have four children: Mark, Jeff, Lori and Jill. She began her career at Valley Bank, then moved on to the Granite School District before retiring as a secretary at Hunter High School. She treasured her time with her family and grandchildren. She adored her great-grandchildren.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Russell G. Davis; children: Mark Davis (Cindy), Jill Weisinger (Mark), and Jeff Davis; grandchildren: Russell Davis (Amanda), Zach Davis, Alex Davis, Meagan Booth (Brandan), Cameron Mullen (Connie) and Jonathan Mullen; great-grandchildren; and brother Larry E. Denney.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lori Kaye Davis.
A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 6–8 p.m. and 45 minutes before the graveside service.
