Ghanaian Politician, Entrepreneur. She was a Member of the New Patriotic Party or NPP and a Member of Parliament for the Builsa North Constituency. A member of the Christian faith, She was born in Chuchuliga, Gold Coast, now the country of Ghana on October 20, 1956. She was educated locally and received a middle school education at the Ayieta Middle School in Sandema, Ghana, and at the Adda Middle School in Navrongo, Ghana, before receiving her secondary school education at the St. Francis Girls' Senior High School in Jirapa, Ghana. She then attended the prestigious Accra Polytechnic in Accra, Ghana, where she received her Certificate at the Advance Level in Catering. She was primarily a caterer by profession, but later pursued an interest in politics. She joined the New Patriotic Party or NPP and contested the parliamentary elections on the party's ticket in 2004. She won the election with 6,160 votes out of 18,273 total valid votes cast. This was equivalent to 33.7% of the total valid votes cast. In addition, these obtained were 5,657, 6,147, and 309 votes respectively out of the total valid votes cast, and were equivalent to 31%, 33.6%, and 1.7% respectively of total valid votes cast. Her constituency of Builsa North was a part of the 2 parliamentary seats out of 13 seats won by the New Patriotic Party in that election for the Upper East. She was elected over Thomas Akum-Yong of the Peoples' National Convention, Timothy Awortiirim Ataboadey of the National Democratic Congress, and Abaayiak Ayulim Grace of the Convention People's Party. She began serving the Builsa North Constituency as a Member of Parliament under the government of then President of Ghana John Dufour on January 7, 2005. She continued serving in that position while also serving in the position of Deputy Minister for the Upper East Region. Unfortunately, she lost her parliamentary seat as a Member of Parliament for the Builsa North Constituency during the election when Timothy Awortiirim Ataboadey won the seat. She left office after her four-year term ended on January 7, 2009. Following her time in politics, she resumed her catering business and other pursuits until her death. She passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 67.
