William "Bill" C. Roberts, 85, of Warne passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 in a Gainesville, Georgia hospital. He was born July 31, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late William B. and Caroline Roberts. Bill was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Auburn University. He lived in Atlanta until moving to Warne in 1978. Bill was self-employed most of his adult life until his retirement. He attended Shady Grove Baptist Church in Hayesville.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Allen Roberts.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Margaret M. Roberts of Warne; a son, Martin Roberts and wife, Ellen of Jefferson, Georgia; three grandchildren, Erin Roberts of Bloomington, Indiana, Sarah Roberts of Jefferson, Georgia, and Wil Roberts of Duluth, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 18, 2023 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Feathers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of William "Bill" C. Roberts to a charity of your choice.
