Reno Woman Mishap Victim
Mrs. Alberta Rodgers, 39, of Reno, was killed early Sunday morning when the car in which she was riding careened off the Boulder Highway and overturned in a 40-foot ravine.
Boulder city police said Mrs. Rodgers, who lived at 701 E. 2nd St., apparently was thrown from the car as it rolled into the ravine.
Funeral services are pending at Walton Funeral Home.
The death brought to 70 the number of persons kiilled in Nevada automobile accidents this year.
George Vandermark, 39, driver of the car, was taken to Boulder City Hospital where he was listed in satisfactory condition.
Born in Elgin, Minn., Feb. 18, 1922 (*I believe the year of birth may be 1920), Mrs. Rodgers had been a resident of Reno for 12 years and was co-owner of Charlisle's Bar on Wells avenue.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Judy Keeneyof Reno; a son, William L Boland of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. William Wade of San Diego, Calif., and a brother Gerald Zink of Rochester, Minn.
