Son of Yocheved and Yehoshua. He was born on February 20, 1921 in Trieste, Poland. When he was five he immigrated to Eretz Israel with his family. When he was 17, he joined the Haganah and devotedly filled every position he was assigned. In October 1941, he enlisted in the British Army to fight the Nazi enemy. He was attached to the Hebrew transport company 462, and at the end of April 1943, he went to Alexandria together with his unit on board the ship "Arinapura" to reach Malta and from there to participate in the invasion of the Allied forces. On the 27th of Nisan, 5703 (May 1, 1943), when the ship was at sea, it was attacked by a group of German planes and descended into the depths. Within minutes, 140 of the company's soldiers drowned, and Benjamin among them.
