On November 4, 2023, Charles Francis O'Connor entered eternal rest at age 81. Born August 11, 1942 in Baltimore, Md to the late Charles and Julia O'Connor. He attended and graduated Parkville High School in 1959 lettering in basketball, baseball and soccer. Charles enlisted in the Air Force after graduation and served honorably for 4 years. His career was spent in sales, predominantly health insurance. 20 years was devoted to Blue Cross and Blue shield and another 20 years was spent in insurance and car sales. Charles was also a dedicated family man. He married Bonnie Louise O'Connor in 1977 and remained married until her death 40 years later. He is survived by his four children, Kimberly 51, Michael 45, David 44, and Kristen 41.

Charles was also a dedicated member of his community, coaching multiple youth sports teams soccer, baseball and basketball. His teams were very successful, winning championships in various counties and multiple states. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of discipline, hard work, and service to his community. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A prayer service and viewing will be conducted Sunday, November 12th starting at 9:00 AM and concluding at noon at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA. The graveside service will be conducted at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, Md. the following day, Monday, at 1:00PM.
