Juanita Faye Adams, 86, of Talladega, AL passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her children and sister. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Pastor Russ Vickers and Gerald Bittle officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the services at Munford Cemetery.
Ms. Adams was a devoted member of the Talladega Church of Christ and loved spending time with her family. She fought bravely over the past two months to recover and was at peace at the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby Adams; sisters, Joann Adams, Sue Adams, Peggy Adams; brothers, Jerry Adams and Larry Adams, and great-grandsons, Donald Dye III and Major Dye.
Juanita is survived by her children, Sharon Knight of Talladega and David (Deana) Knight of Hokes Bluff; grandchildren, Megan (Donald) Dye, Shanmely (Daniel) Scholz, Abe Knight, Athena Knight, Vantez (Ahmon) Shepard, Colton (Hali) Shepard, Jaylon (Daisa) Shepard, Antonio (Kennedy) Shepard, Makayla (Rashad) Shepard, Makayia (Keonte) Shepard, and Hannah Barber; great-grandchildren, RaNijia (Tommy) Shepard, Karlyah Maxwell, Dejei Dye, Colton Shepard Jr., Arya Shepard, Jayden Shepard, Ahvianna Shepard, Nova Moten, Raeleigh Shepard, Rae'Auri Shepard, Kamari Holley, Emilia-Leilani Knight, Leonidas Sekovski, Layton Sekovski, Anastas Sekovski, Ada-Grace Scholz, and Daniel Scholz III; sisters, Connie (Wayne) Gilliland, Gaye (Terry) Webster, and Linda Clark, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Vantez Shepard, Colton Shepard, Abe Knight, Antonio Shepard, Jaylon Shepard, Donald Dye, and Ahmon Embry.
