Wilmer Michael (PawPaw) Galloway entered into eternal life on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was 77 years of age. Mike was born in Albertville Alabama to the late Wilmer and Julia Galloway. He attended Albertville High School and worked alongside his Father at Howard Brothers Discount Store for many years. He met his wife, Carolyn, in August of 1968 and soon married. Together, they traveled for his job to Louisiana, having their first child, Michael Galloway. Later, they settled down back in Albertville, having their second child Dawn Galloway. He earned the title of "PawPaw" in 1994 with the birth of his grandson, Noah Howard. In his down time, he enjoyed fishing and gardening with his Wife and pawn store shopping with his Grandson.
He was predeceased by his Father, Wilmer Galloway, Mother, Julia Galloway and his Brother, Ronald Galloway. He is survived by his Wife, Carolyn, his Son, Michael, his Daughter, Dawn, his Grandson, Noah Howard, his siblings, Suzanne Holsonback and Tommy Galloway and multiple nieces and nephews.
Mike requested a cremation and that his ashes are scattered in one of his favorite spots. There are no events planned, as he did not wish to have services. You may make a donation to dementiasociety.org in lieu of flowers.
