Daughter of Ann Longley and Joseph Bent b Granville Township, Annapolis County NS. Parents married 10 Jan 1793 same place.

Married Aaron Eaton 15 Mar 1825 Cornwallis Township, Kings County NS. Both parties were said to be resident in Granville Township, Annapolis County NS, at the time. The marriage was performed in a Methodist ceremony. Did the couple have to travel to Cornwallis because of their faith?

Records of baptisms, marriages and burials for Granville Township performed by various clergy indicate that Mary and Aaron had eight children born there 1826-1837. Two children died 1829-1830. The family appears to have moved to New Brunswick after Emma's birth 20 Nov 1837 but before Joseph's death 30 Jun 1838.
