After graduation, Joe married the love of his life, Sharon Marie McNeill. Ten years after they were married, they started an aerospace machining company, Cassavant Machining, Inc. While Joe developed the operations, Sharon ran the office. Together, they grew it into a successful business. Joe and Sharon had a passion for travel, and they visited many exotic locations; cruising was always their favorite way to see the world. In addition, Joe was an active parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and a long-time member of the Phoenix Country Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, entertaining, BBQing, and socializing with friends and family.
Joe is survived by Sharon, his wife of 59 years. He is also survived by his three children. His loving grandchildren include Bradley (deceased). His great-grandchildren. Furthermore, he is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:30pm, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave, Phoenix. Interment to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
