She was born January 6, 1923 in Peru, IN, the daughter of Paul S. Mellinger and Mildred (Mooney) Mellinger.
Margaret married Gwinn Acree on June 2, 1948 in Angola, IN.
Margaret came to MI in 1942 after graduating from Peru High School and worked as a billing clerk at King Sealy in Ann Arbor during WWII. Spending most of her adult life in Saline and Dexter, she was an avid collector and dealer of antiques, widely recognized and respected for her "good eye" by many local dealers and collectors.
Margaret leaves behind her husband Gwinn of 59 years as well as four children, Gary (Anita) Acree of Saline, Sue Ellen Acree of Ann Arbor, Leanne (Mike) Birkle, Whitmore Lake, MI and Jerry Acree of Louisville, KY.
She is also survived by her four loving grandchildren Amy and Geoff Acree and Aaron and Jason Birkle. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Louise) Mellinger of Midvale, MI. Special thanks to the Ann Arbor Hospice Team.
