Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on October 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Eugene and Eliane (née Masse) Gagnon. He was a 1956 graduate of Chicopee Vocational High School. Mr. Gagnon had worked as a security guard for Ensign Bickford Inc. in Simsbury for the past eight years.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Church in South-wick and a past member of the Northampton Lodge of Elks, the Easthampton Archery Club and the Fairview Fish and Game Association.
