Funeral Service will be at 4pm , Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Crestwood Chapel for Natiesha Ann Baker, age 91, of Wellington. Mrs. Baker passed away on Friday June 30, 2023. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30pm until the hour of service. Dr. Craig Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct. Tish was born in Jefferson County and raised in Jefferson and Etowah County. She was a member of Gadsden Baptist Temple where she enjoyed singing in the choir and in a trio with two of her friends. The congregation moved to its current location and was renamed Cove Creek Baptist Church where Tish continued to attend and worship. Tish had a variety of jobs from her youth all the way to her final retirement at the age of 89. During that time, she raised her family in a home that was filled with love and where dinner was an occasion for good food and conversation that covered everything imaginable. When her husband, Bud, became ill she retired from EMCO to care for him. After his death she re-entered the work force in the lunchroom of Alexandria Grammar School. This was a perfect fit for her as it kept her busy with people who came to love her like family and allowed her summers to be free so she could take care of her yard; a task she took as seriously as the master greenskeeper of the finest golf course in the world.

Tish is preceded in death by her loving husband James (Bud) Baker and infant daughter Paula, her parents Luther and Pauline McGill, and her sisters Betty Swindall and Sarah Simmons. She is survived by her children Melody Wehunt (Lawayne), and Mark Baker (Suzette); grandchildren Dustin Wehunt (Cassy), Andrea Adkison (Jake), Cameron Baker (Morgan), and Sydnee Richardson (Paul); and her great-grandchildren Jay and Easton Wehunt, Levi and Bo Baker, and Britton Adkison.
Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Clark, Dustin Wehunt, Easton Wehunt, Jake Adkison, Cameron Baker, and Paul Richardson.
The family would like to express special thanks to Tish's friends that visited her and the family during her stay at UAB's ICU and Palliative Care Unit. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at UAB for their care of Momma during her stay. Their care for her and the family went far beyond that of a job. It was altogether obvious that they cared physically, emotionally, and spiritually for the well-being of Tish and her loved ones.

Daughter of Luther Grady McGill and Pauline Crotwell
