Edwin is a brother of my Grt Grandfather William J REHN (1841-1911). Edwin and William are the 2nd and 3rd sons of Isaac REHN (c1815-1883), the noted early photographer, lithographer, spiritualist and labor organizer of Philadelphia ans Wash, DC, and Abigail Frances Zelley REHN (1818-1894). Edwin joined the 23rd PA Vol early in 1861. He particpated in the Peninsular Campaign. Near Yorktown, he was taken ill. He was later discharged because of his disability, and later (Jan 1864) died as a result of the illness he contracted in the Army.
