Jerry Donald Hawes was born on January 21, 1936 at home in Munday, Texas to Homer Clinton (HC) Hawes and Wanda Ruth (Taylor) Hawes. On Friday, May 12, 2023, God graced him with the blessing of passing away with his family in the comfort of his own home. He was a longtime Georgetown business owner, lifetime rancher, and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Carolyn Hawes, his son Clint Hawes and wife Marlane, his son Clay Hawes and wife Rebecca, grandson Hunter Hawes, granddaughter Shelby Hawes and his devoted dog Rosco. Also survived by sister-in-law Louise Hawes as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son Jay Gill Hawes, his mother and father, both brothers James F. Hawes and Rex A. Hawes, mother-in-law Elenora Dickens and his 15 year four legged side kick Scout.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 20th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Private family ceremony will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to the charity of your choice.
