Floyd R. "Pete" Kutz, 81, of Salisbury Township, Pa, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. Born: On March 8, 1927, in Upper Saucon Township, Pa, he was a son of the late Robert J. Kutz and Kathryn M. Xander Kolesar. Personal: He and his wife, the former Evelyn A. Furry, were married for 60 years. Pete worked at the former Albeth Canvas, Lanark for 30 years until retiring. He had also worked at New Jersey Zinc Mines for 11 years and did home delivery for milk. He served his country honorably during World War II in the Navy. Memberships: He was a life member of the Se-Wy-Co Fire Co. and Spring Valley Sportsman's Club where he was active in the annual Easter egg hunt. He was also a member of the Friedensville Rod and Gun Club. Survivors: In addition to his wife Evelyn, he is survived by a daughter, Cheryl A. Frey and her husband Will of Allentown; sons, David A. and his wife Sherry of Old Zionsville and Dennis R. and his companion Julie Talbott of Bethlehem; sisters, LaVerna X. Diehl of Coopersburg and Jane C. Salverio of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A grandson, Christopher J. Reightler, and a brother, Earl A. Kutz, died earlier. Services: Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday (today) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown. The service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. The interment will conclude services at the Friedensville Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township, Pa.
